Viking VBCI1150G Beverage Service
The VBCI1150G is a retired 15-inch beverage center, small enough for the end of a bar or a gap beside a wet sink. In a slim unit, the whole cabinet is close to the compressor and condenser, so any heat that cannot leave quickly raises the interior temperature. The first question we ask is how much clearance the unit has.
We service a VBCI1150G by checking the clearance and cleaning the condenser, then testing the fan and watching the compressor run through a cycle. The gasket is tested with a paper strip, and the light and its switch are verified. Parts for this retired model are quoted in writing before ordering, and a 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair. The leveling feet are checked at the end of the visit.
There is little cabinet volume and little clearance, so heat has nowhere to go. We check the space around the unit, clean the condenser and test the fan to see how well it can shed heat.
Note how often and call us. A dirty coil, a weak start part or a poor seal are usual causes, and early diagnosis prevents damage.
A paper strip will slide out easily at some point around the door. We replace the gasket or adjust the door until the strip grips all the way round.
