On the Viking Fully Integrated wine cellar FDWCIC7240, the display shows Upper too warm when the upper compartment is warmer than its setting. The official guidance is to see the troubleshooting steps before calling. A door left open, a large load of warm bottles or a dirty condenser are the usual causes. If none apply and the message stays, the cooling system needs a technician.
1. Push the door shut and look for anything in its way. 2. Wipe the door gasket clean and look along it for gaps. 3. Clean the condenser if the CHECK COND. reminder is due. 4. Check the upper compartment with a household thermometer after a few hours. 5. If it stays warm, move valuable bottles and call us.
Close the door fully, wipe the gasket, and clean the condenser if the reminder has appeared. Give the cellar a few hours, then check the upper temperature again.
That depends on your target setting. If the display and a thermometer both read well above it after several hours, the cellar is not cooling and the bottles need attention.
On the visit we look at airflow, seals, sensors and how the cooling cycle runs. You get a written price first, and the repair is backed by a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
