Viking DFRB304 30-Inch Designer Refrigerator
The DFRB304 is a discontinued 30-inch Designer all-refrigerator column that takes custom cabinetry panels. With no freezer inside, it holds only fresh food, and it is often paired with a freezer column to form a tall refrigeration wall. It is a model where small leaks add up over a decade of daily door openings.
Single-compartment columns depend heavily on one sensor and one fan. When the sensor drifts the compressor cycles irregularly, and when the fan weakens the top shelves go warm while the bottom stays cold. The gasket, meanwhile, has had years of daily opening.
We test the sensor, check the fan and inspect the gasket and hinges. The price comes in writing first, and every repair is warranted for 30 days.
The evaporator fan may be weak or the air path blocked, so cold air does not reach the top. We check the fan and clear any frost or obstruction.
Not technically, but many kitchens install both. If there is a freezer beside it, we check that the gap between them stays clear for airflow.
Close a dollar bill in the door; if it slides out easily, the seal is not holding. Cracks or stiffness are also warning signs. Try it at several spots around the door, because a seal can fail in just one corner.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
