On first-generation Viking 7 Series and Virtuoso fully integrated columns, such as the VRI7240W and VBI7360W, the temperature display shows a power loss indicator after a long power outage. Pressing any key clears it. The indicator is there to tell you the unit lost power for a while, so you can check the food. It does not report a failed part, and the unit resumes cooling once the power returns.
1. Press any key to clear the indicator. 2. Check that the display now shows the normal temperature. 3. Look through the compartment for food that has warmed or thawed. 4. Discard perishables that sat warm for several hours. 5. If the indicator comes back with no outage, note the date and call us.
It tells you the power was off long enough to matter. The unit started again by itself, and any key press clears the display so you can see the temperature.
That depends on how long the power was off and how warm it got. Frozen food that is still firm is usually fine. Perishables left warm for hours should be thrown away.
Then we should look at the supply connection and the control. We test both, give you a written price before work, and cover repairs with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
