On Viking Professional and Designer undercounter wine cellars with TruProtect control, such as the VUWC1541C, DUWC1441C and DFUW2441C, the door alert, called Door Ajar, appears when the door is left open and TruProtect is enabled. Closing the door resets the alarm. On other Viking cellars like the VCWB300, the alert follows after three minutes of an open door, with no legend.
1. Close the door firmly. 2. Check that no bottle or rack sticks out. 3. Wipe the seal with warm water. 4. Make sure TruProtect is set the way you want it. 5. If the alert returns with the door shut, call us.
The door alert only works when TruProtect is enabled. If you do not hear it, check that setting before assuming something is wrong with the door.
The owner's guide calls the alert Door Ajar. Your display may show it a little differently, so tell us exactly what you see when you call.
A short open door does little. A long one lets the cellar warm. We quote the price in writing before work, and repairs have a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
