Viking VGR7488B 48-Inch Gas Range
The VGR7488B is a current 7 Series 48-inch freestanding gas range with eight Elevation sealed burners and brass flame ports, VariSimmer on every burner, dual ProFlow convection gas ovens and SureSpark ignition. It is among the largest ranges a home kitchen holds, and it weighs accordingly.
Our work is organized by cavity and by burner. We test each gas oven for igniter response, temperature accuracy and lock behavior, then move to the cooktop, where each Elevation burner is cleaned and spark-tested. If both ovens show the same message, the shared control board is the part we check next. We also check that the range is level and that its gas connection is secure.
Do not stay inside to investigate a gas smell; leave and call the gas utility from outdoors. We commit the price to paper first and warrant our workmanship for 30 days.
Yes, each cavity lights its own burner. If one oven fails to heat, we test that cavity's igniter and valve, not the other's. A gas oven has its own igniter and valve, and we test them individually for each cavity.
A range that tilts bakes unevenly and can change how liquids sit in pans. We adjust the feet as part of the visit. Level also helps the doors to close squarely against the seals.
Usually not. The burners are separate, and we isolate the failing one, clean it and test its igniter. We replace only the igniter or valve that fails, never the whole system at once.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
