Viking VBCI5150G Slim Bar Visit
The VBCI5150G is a retired 15-inch beverage center, a compact cabinet often found under a counter or beside a sink. Because it holds drinks that get opened and closed all evening, door seals and the fan carry most of the load. A creased gasket or a slow fan reveals itself as warm bottles near the door.
We visit a VBCI5150G with a thermometer and a flashlight. We measure near the door and at the back, test the fan, clean the condenser and test the gasket with a paper strip. The light is checked with its switch. Retired parts are priced in writing before ordering, and a 30-day workmanship warranty follows the work. We also wipe the gasket channel so spills do not stick the door again.
That area gets the most warm air from openings and from seal gaps. We check the gasket and the fan so cold air reaches the front.
Warming and reshaping may restore a light crease. If the vinyl has set in a bend or cracked, we replace the gasket and then test the new seal with a paper strip around the door.
Not always. Ice on the blade or a loose mount can cause noise, and neither needs a new motor. We check those first and replace the fan only when a bearing test shows that it is worn out.
