The DDSF136D is a retired 36-inch freestanding Designer side-by-side with a through-the-door ice and water dispenser. A premium filter cleans the water, ice can be cubed or crushed, and a lock prevents unwanted dispensing and makes cleanup easier. The lock and the dispenser flap are worth checking whenever the unit is serviced.
Being freestanding, it can be pulled forward for service without removing a panel, which helps when the water line or the back needs attention. The dispenser is the system that ages: the crusher motor, the lock and the actuator wear, and the filter clogs.
