Most common issues on this model

  1. Fresh food sensor alert
  2. Compressor cycling irregularly
  3. Door seal wear on the panel-ready door

The VCRB5301 is a 30-inch built-in refrigerator column from the Professional Series, a single tall door that takes a custom panel and disappears into cabinetry. It is typically paired with a freezer column of the same height, side by side.

Because it is a single compartment, one sensor does most of the thinking, and when that sensor drifts the compressor cycles irregularly. The tall panel-ready door adds weight to the hinges, so seal wear shows up early at the top and bottom corners.

We take real temperatures, test the sensor, and look at door alignment. The price is written before work, and repairs carry a 30-day warranty.

VCRB5301VCRB5301 questions
Why does the door seal fail at the corners?

A heavy panel pulls the door slightly out of square, so the gasket compresses unevenly. We adjust the hinges and replace the gasket if it has taken a set.

Can I install a freezer column beside it?

That is common. The two columns are installed side by side in matching panels, and we check that the airflow gap between them is clear when we service.
