The VDR7488B is a current 7 Series 48-inch freestanding dual fuel range with eight Elevation sealed burners and brass flame ports, VariSimmer on every burner and dual Vari-Speed Dual Flow convection electric ovens. It also works with the iDevices meat thermometer.
This is a gas cooktop above two electric ovens, so we check both systems. On top we clean each Elevation burner and test its spark. The convection fans have their own speeds, and we test them as well. If the thermometer feature does not connect, we check the oven control.
At the first smell of gas, go out of the house and call the gas utility. No work begins without a written price, and each repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Each oven has its own temperature sensor and elements. The sensor in the cavity showing the message is the likely cause, and we test it separately.
It means the convection fans run at different speeds. We test the fans at each speed, since a worn fan motor can fail on only one.
Try another probe or reconnect it. If the oven still cannot read it, we test the oven control and the connection. We bring a spare probe if the one you have is damaged.
