The VDR560 is a retired 5 Series 60-inch dual fuel range with the Pro Sealed Burner System: a gentle VariSimmer setting up to 15,000 BTU on all burners, with the TruPower Plus 18,500 BTU burner on select models. It is a very wide range, typically the dominant appliance on its wall.
The Pro Sealed Burner System keeps spills out of the cooktop but needs clean bases. We lift each burner, clean and dry it and test the spark, giving the 18,500 BTU burner extra attention where fitted. The ovens are tested with a thermometer, and the doors for seal and lock after self-clean. At this width, leveling and anti-tip mounting matter. For any gas odor, exit the home and call the gas utility from a safe place outside. Once you approve the written price we start, and the work is warranted for 30 days.
It is the highest-output burner, listed at 18,500 BTU on select models. We clean its base and ports with care and test its spark first. It is the sealed burner at the high end of the range.
A dirty port or a weak igniter can let a low flame die. We clean the port and test the igniter, then check the flame at its lowest setting.
We rarely do. Most work is done in place, and when it must be pulled out, we use floor protection and a second technician. Floor protection comes first.
