Viking TVDR6616G 66-Inch Tuscany Range
The TVDR6616G is a discontinued Tuscany special edition, a 66-inch freestanding dual fuel range with decorative cast-iron trim, sealed gas burners, a griddle, dual electric convection ovens and brass or bronze-toned accents. At this width it is a statement piece, usually set against a wall of its own under a large hood.
Size and age shape our visit. We lift and test each sealed burner, check the griddle with a thermometer, and put both ovens through a temperature and lock test, since they share one control board. The decorative trim gets a close look for loose fasteners, and we handle the finish gently. Because the range is discontinued, we tell you plainly which parts can be repaired and which may be hard to source. Should you ever smell gas, step outside at once and phone the gas utility from there. A written price comes first, and a 30-day workmanship warranty stands behind the repair.
Each oven has its own sensor, elements and lock, though one board runs both. We test the failing oven's parts first, and look at the board only when both cavities misbehave.
Usually. We check the flame beneath the plate, clean the burner and test the thermostat. A warped plate is also possible, which we can see by laying a straightedge across it.
Loose trim is cosmetic, but it can catch cloth or shift near heat. We refasten it during service and tell you if a piece needs a different fix.
