Viking FDRB5363 36-Inch Panel Column
The FDRB5363 completes the trio of retired 36-inch custom panel all refrigerators, alongside the FDRB5361 and FDRB5362. It is a refrigerator-only column that takes a front panel to match cabinetry. A column like this sits in a tall run of cabinetry, so access is from the front. Reaching the hinge hardware usually means opening the door fully.
On columns of this age the sequence is familiar. First the gasket along the latch side relaxes, then the top shelf warms, then the compressor runs longer to compensate. A clogged defrost drain can add water to the base, and a fan that has lost its lubrication can add noise.
We examine the gasket, fan and drain and measure the shelves. A written price comes first, and a 30-day warranty follows.
It carries the swing and weight of the panel, and the gasket relaxes there first. We adjust the hinges and replace the gasket if it has lost its shape.
Check that the defrost drain is clear if you can reach it, and avoid overfilling the unit. If it keeps happening, we clear the drain properly.
With clean coils and good seals, many run for decades. Regular care costs far less than a replacement. That depends on how well the seals and sensors are looked after, and we tell you honestly where yours stands.
