The DUIM150D is the Designer series panel-ready counterpart to the VUIM150D, a retired 15-inch undercounter clear ice machine with a gravity drain, continuous-cycle ice production and LED diagnostic flash codes.
Built behind a cabinet panel, it has less airflow than a freestanding machine, so heat and dust deserve attention. We begin by reading the lights, then clean the condenser, check the water inlet and filter, and watch a freeze and harvest cycle. If the ice sheet does not release, we look at the evaporator surface and the harvest warming. Panel alignment is checked as well, since a door that does not close squarely leaks cold air.

The ice-making system is the same family. The difference is the front, which takes a cabinet panel. That changes airflow and door alignment, so we check both during service.
A control that is not calling for cooling, a start part that has failed, or a safety condition from a water or sensor problem. We test those in order before replacing the compressor.
