Viking DFBB363 Designer Bottom-Freezer
The DFBB363 is a discontinued Designer Series bottom-freezer that arrived around 2007, so many are now close to two decades old. It sits in a 36-inch opening behind custom panels, offers about 20.3 cu. ft. in total, and brings ProChill temperature management, a convertible Meat Saver or produce drawer and a built-in ice maker.
Age tells on the parts that wear with use. The door seals harden, the ice maker’s inlet valve or mold heater weakens, and the sensors that drive ProChill drift out of range. An ice maker that has slowed is often a supply or valve problem rather than a dead unit.
We check the water line and valve, test the sensors and inspect the gaskets. You get a written price first, and we warrant the work for 30 days.
We start with the water supply and filter, then the inlet valve and the mold heater. Age usually weakens the valve or the heater, and both can be tested quickly.
It manages the temperature in the cabinet. When it misbehaves, we measure the real temperatures and check the sensors that feed it. Think of it as the cabinet's temperature logic, a set of sensors, a control and fans working together.
The drawer itself is simple, but its seal and any cold-air duct can fail. We look at the drawer, its track and the airflow. A drawer that sticks or shows frost on its edge is a sign the seal or duct needs attention.
