Viking DDFF136D French-Door Dispenser
The DDFF136D is a retired 36-inch Designer French-door refrigerator at standard 24-inch cabinet depth, with a through-the-door dispenser. French doors open wide to four large door bins, two moisture-adjustable produce drawers and a temperature-adjustable meat drawer, and the freezer pulls out on slide-out baskets.
The dispenser adds water and ice systems to a cabinet that already has two doors to seal. A slow ice maker usually means a clogged filter or a weak inlet valve, a dispenser that dribbles points to the line or the actuator, and the center seam of the French doors is a known leak path.
We check the water supply, filter and valve, then the seals and baskets. The price is in writing before work, and repairs are covered for 30 days.
We look at the filter, the water line for kinks and the inlet valve. Low pressure or a partly clogged filter is the typical cause, and the valve is next.
Ice or food debris in the slides, or a bent track, can make them drag. We clear the track and replace worn slides. A light wipe of the track during cleaning helps keep it free.
The body sits about flush with standard 24-inch kitchen cabinets, so the refrigerator looks built in. It also means airflow behind and above it must stay clear.
