Viking Undercounter Refrigerator Code E1: Compressor Current Out of Range

What E1 means

On Viking Professional and Designer undercounter refrigerators with TruProtect control, such as the VUAR1531T and DUAR1531, plus refrigerated drawers like the VURD1441D, E1 reports a compressor problem with high or low amps. Power-line fluctuations can show a code even when nothing is wrong. The full-size built-in 5 and 7 Series refrigerators do not show E1 to E4. You see the code on the display and the cabinet may warm up.

Compressor drawing too much or too little current
Power-line fluctuation showing a one-time code
Start relay or wiring problem to the compressor
