Viking VEDO1302 Professional Oven
The VEDO1302 is a retired 30-inch built-in electric double oven from Viking’s Professional line, with a roomy cavity, a convection system and self-cleaning. It is the wider relative of the 27-inch VEDO127.
With a wide cavity comes a wide airflow pattern, and uneven baking in the upper oven is the first sign of convection trouble. We test the fan motor, the blades and the element, then check the sensor against a reference thermometer. A slow lower oven points to its bake element, door seal or sensor. A torn seal is something we spot immediately, as it lets heat roll out along the door edge.
Locks that jam during self-clean are tested at the motor and switch. The oven is retired, so we confirm parts first. Our written price comes before work, and a 30-day warranty follows.
The convection fan may be slow or the blades damaged, or the sensor may read wrong. We test the fan first, then the sensor. A weak sensor can make a healthy fan seem weak, so we test both.
Look for tears, flat spots and gaps, and feel for heat escaping along the door edge during a bake. A seal that has lost its shape should be replaced.
They share the control system, but each cavity has its own elements and sensor. We test the cavity that shows trouble first. That narrows the work and keeps the price down.
