Viking touch-control electric wall ovens such as the Professional VESO530T and VEDO530T and the Designer DSOE305T show HIGH LIMIT ERROR when the high-limit safety thermostat switch has tripped. This switch opens when the cavity gets hotter than it should, and it cuts heating power as a last line of protection. The standard checks are the connection at P10 on the upper and lower relay board and then the high limiter itself. The oven stops heating while the message is showing.
1. Press OFF and keep the door closed while the oven cools. 2. Switch the oven breaker off and leave it off until the oven is cool. 3. Remove food only after the cavity is cool. 4. Do not run self-clean or long bakes. 5. Call us for an inspection before using the oven again.
It is a safety thermostat that opens if the oven overheats. When it trips, the oven stops heating. It protects the oven and your kitchen from excess temperature.
It may let the oven heat again after cooling, but the reason it tripped remains. An oven that overheated once can do it again, so inspection should come first.
We check the relay board connection, the heating relays, the temperature sensor and the limit switch. You get a written price up front, and our work carries a 30-day warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
