Viking TVDR4814G Tuscany Range Repair
The TVDR4814G is a discontinued Tuscany special edition, a 48-inch freestanding dual fuel range with decorative cast-iron trim, sealed gas burners, a griddle, dual electric convection ovens and brass or bronze-toned accents. It was made for kitchens that wanted the range to look as distinctive as it cooks.
The trim is part of the charm and part of the upkeep. We check it for loose fasteners and finish wear, and clean it carefully so the accents are not scratched. Functionally, we test each sealed burner, the griddle for even heat, the lock on both ovens after self-clean and each oven’s temperature. Because the control platform is older, we explain what can be repaired and what may be hard to source.
Please remember that a gas smell means leaving and calling the gas utility from outside. Once you approve the written price we start, and the work is warranted for 30 days.
Loose trim can usually be refastened. We do not alter the finish, and we will tell you if a damaged piece cannot be matched. Matching a finish takes care, and we say so before we start any work on it.
Many owners keep them because of the look and the build. We diagnose first and quote the repair so you can compare it with the cost of replacement.
Use a soft cloth and mild soap, and avoid abrasive cleaners that strip the finish. If tarnish is stubborn, ask us before using polish. We wipe the accents dry after cleaning to prevent water spots.
