What CHECK COND. means

On current Viking Fully Integrated columns with a touch display, such as the FDREIC7360 refrigerator and the FDFZIC7360 freezer, the display shows CHECK COND. every six months. It is a maintenance reminder, not a failure. It asks you to clean the condenser, the coil that releases heat from the cooling system. After cleaning, you hold ENTER for five seconds to reset the reminder and the display returns to normal.

Common causes of CHECK COND.

Six months have passed since the reminder was last reset
Dust and pet hair built up on the condenser
A cabinet or grille opening that restricts airflow to the condenser

1. Switch off the unit or unplug it before you clean around the grille. 2. Remove the base grille as described for your model. 3. Vacuum dust from the condenser with a soft brush attachment, working gently. 4. Replace the grille and restore power. 5. Hold ENTER for five seconds to reset the reminder.
