What 1 Flash means

On Viking built-in refrigerators with the Variable Speed DC Overdrive compressor, such as the VCSB5423 and VCBB5363E, the inverter box carries a small LED that technicians read. One flash every 15 seconds means the inverter found no failure. If the compressor is running, any cooling problem lies elsewhere in the system. If the compressor is off, the inverter is getting no signal from the main control. This is not a display message.

Common causes of 1 Flash

Inverter healthy, so the cooling problem is elsewhere
No start signal arriving from the main control board
Control board not calling for cooling

1. Check that the temperature setting is cold enough and the control is on. 2. Make sure the doors close fully and the seals are clean. 3. Vacuum the condenser grille. 4. Unplug the refrigerator for two minutes, plug it back in and wait about 12 minutes. 5. If it still does not cool, call us.
