Viking FDW301WS Softener Dishwasher
The FDW301WS is a retired 300 Series 24-inch dishwasher with a water softener, three wash arms, triple filtration, a turbidity sensor and Quiet Clean insulation. It fits up to 14 place settings on adjustable racks.
The softener is the part that owners forget about until glasses go cloudy. We check salt level, regeneration and scale first, then move on to the filters and the spray arms. A turbidity sensor that misreads can shorten cycles, so we test it before replacing the pump or heater. If the machine leaves water in the bottom, the filter, hose and pump are examined in that order.
Since the model is retired, we confirm part availability from the tag before quoting, and the price is written down first. A 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair.
Check the salt every few weeks if you run the machine daily. If glasses turn cloudy after the salt is refilled, the regeneration cycle may need service.
It will run, but hard water will leave film and scale, especially over time. Refill the salt promptly and let us clean any buildup that has formed.
Trapped food in the filter or water standing in the tub is the usual reason. We clean the filter and check the drain for slow movement.
