Flash pattern 2-5, two Pots/Pans blinks then five Normal Wash blinks, is called Level Sensor Error on Viking Professional VDB200 built-in dishwashers. The official first checks are to verify the dishwasher is level and that the drain hose has a high loop. Without a high loop, wash water can run out through the drain line, so the control sees the wrong level. Not every Viking model lists this pattern.
1. Open the door and set a small level across the tub rim; adjust the front feet until it reads level both ways. 2. Check that the drain hose under the sink rises to the underside of the countertop before dropping to the drain. 3. Reset the power at the breaker and run a short cycle. 4. If 2-5 returns, call us.
It is the drain hose rising to the top of the cabinet before it goes down to the drain. It stops sink water and wash water from siphoning back.
If the tub tilts, water pools unevenly, and the level sensor reads high or low. Leveling comes first because it is simple to correct and costs nothing.
No. It appears on the VDB200 list but not on every model. Check your model number before comparing patterns with another Viking dishwasher, or call us and we will confirm.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
