High Level Error is flash pattern 2-4 on Viking Professional VDB450 and Designer DDB325 built-in dishwashers: two Pots/Pans flashes, then four Normal Wash flashes. The control sees more water in the tub than the level limit allows, so it stops the cycle. You may find water higher than normal in the bottom of the tub, or a tub that never drained.
1. Turn off the water supply valve under the sink and switch off the breaker. 2. Scoop out extra water from the tub with a cup. 3. Restore power, hold START for four seconds to reset, and run a short cycle. 4. If 2-4 returns, keep the water valve closed and call us.
Not exactly. Drain Error is about water not leaving the tub. High Level Error is about too much water entering or staying. They can overlap, so we check both ends.
If the level is high, yes. Shut off the water supply under the sink and stop using the dishwasher until we look, since a stuck inlet can keep adding water.
Hold START for four seconds. If the tub drains and the cycle runs, fine. If 2-4 comes back, the cause is still there and should be repaired before another full load.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
