The DFIM150D is a retired Designer series 15-inch undercounter or freestanding custom front ice machine, described with the line “maximum ice production with a minimalist look.” A custom front lets the unit match the cabinets around it.
With a custom front, the door carries a panel and the machine sits in a closed opening, so heat and dust build up around the condenser. When owners report less ice than they remember, we clean the condenser first, then check the water supply and fill, the drain and the harvest cycle.
