Viking DDFB364 36-Inch Designer Freezer
Viking described the Designer Series all freezers as dedicated cold storage with tremendous capacity and ultra-performance features, and the DDFB364 is the retired 36-inch version. A freezer this size usually anchors a wall of cabinetry in a larger kitchen.
Capacity means mass, and mass means the door seal has a lot to do. When owners notice frost along the door edge or a freezer that never seems to rest, the gasket is where we begin. Next come the evaporator fan, which can grow noisy as its bearings age, and the defrost parts. The condenser area is cleaned and tested, because dust there makes everything else work harder.
We quote in writing before work and offer a 30-day workmanship warranty.

A fan motor with aging bearings or ice touching the blades can cause noise. We check for ice first, then test the fan motor and replace it if it is failing.
It benefits from the same care: clean condenser, healthy gasket, and clear airflow inside. A large unit simply shows problems sooner because it carries more food.
Close the door on a strip of paper and pull it. If it slides out easily in any spot, the seal is not gripping there, and we should inspect it.
