Viking VICU165 36-Inch Induction Cooktop
Part of the Professional series, the VICU165 is a retired 36-inch all-induction cooktop driven by MagneQuick induction power generators. The width gives room for several large pans at once, which also means the electronics are asked to share a lot of power.
When owners call, they usually describe a zone that stopped partway through a meal or a panel that stopped responding after cleaning. Our order of work is consistent: clearance and airflow under the cooktop, the glass and touch surface, the cookware, and finally the generators and connections for the zone in question. We try several zones together to see how the cooktop behaves under a realistic load.
You get the price first, then the work, then a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Zones are fed by separate generators or power paths. If one group quits, we check its connection, the cooling for that section, and the generator before replacing anything.
Yes. The fan cools the electronics and may continue for a while. If it is very loud or never runs while the cooktop is hot, call us so we can check the fan and sensors.
Keep the space under the cooktop clear, use flat-bottom magnetic pans, and avoid running every zone on maximum for long periods. If shutdowns continue anyway, a service visit will find the cause.
