Viking VGR73626B 7 Series Range
The VGR73626B is a current 7 Series 36-inch freestanding gas range with six Elevation sealed burners and brass flame ports, VariSimmer on every burner, a ProFlow convection gas oven and SureSpark ignition. It is the all-gas version of the 7 Series, with both cooktop and oven fed from the gas line.
Brass flame ports reward regular cleaning, since residue in a port changes the flame. We clean and test each burner and igniter individually, because Elevation burner problems are almost always limited to one. In the gas oven we check the lock after self-clean, the sensor, the igniter and the convection fan, all of which matter for even baking.

Each Elevation burner has its own igniter and port. A dirty port or weak igniter on that burner is the usual cause, and we fix only that one.
Here the oven burns gas with an igniter instead of using an electric element. If it will not heat, we test the igniter and gas valve instead.
The latch has not released or reset. After the oven cools, we test the lock motor and switch and replace the worn part. The gas oven igniter and valve are checked as well.
