Viking VGR5304B 30-Inch Gas Range
The VGR5304B is a current 5 Series 30-inch freestanding gas range with four open burners, VariSimmer on every burner, a ProFlow convection oven and the SureSpark re-ignition system. It fits the standard 30-inch opening, so you find it between cabinets in kitchens of every size.
SureSpark relights a burner that blows out, so a burner that clicks repeatedly or will not stay lit is something we trace with care: first a clean port and cap, then the igniter, then the module. On the oven side, we check the door lock after self-clean and the temperature sensor if baking results are off. The convection fan and the infrared broiler are tested for completeness.
If you ever detect gas, get everyone out and call the gas utility before anything else. A price in writing precedes any repair, and our workmanship is covered for 30 days.
It re-ignites a burner that goes out. If a burner keeps clicking, the port is often dirty or the cap is not seated, and we check both before the igniter.
A short click while it lights is normal. Continued clicking usually means a dirty port or wet electrode, and cleaning it often solves the problem. A wet or dirty electrode is the usual cause.
