The VESO166 is a retired 36-inch Professional electric single oven. Two-element baking, Maxi-Broil and Mini-Broil, convection baking, broiling and TruConvec cooking set it apart from narrower singles. It occupies a wide cutout and holds big pans.
If only one of the two broil modes fails, the problem is in a section of the broil element or in the relay that switches it. Hot and cold bake zones come from a bake element that no longer heats evenly or a convection fan that has slowed. A rattle at high speed means a loose blade or housing. A wide door weighs a lot, so we inspect its hinges and springs for sag.
Parts for a retired oven are checked before we quote. You see the written price first, and a 30-day workmanship warranty follows.
Maxi-Broil and Mini-Broil use different sections of the element or different relays. We test each section and the relay for the dead mode. Testing the sections separately shows exactly where the break lies.
The bake elements may not both be heating, or the fan may be slow. We measure the elements and the fan speed. Whichever is weaker is replaced.
They carry more weight, so springs and pins wear sooner. We inspect them and replace worn parts as a set. A matched set keeps the door level.
