Viking VEDO1302T Custom Touch Oven
The VEDO1302T is a retired 30-inch Double Custom electric oven with a touch control panel. One of its conveniences is a delayed start: you can program a meal to begin cooking up to 24 hours ahead. That feature leans on the board’s clock and relays, so when a delayed start never begins, those are the places we look.
A board that loses its clock after a power blip may skip the program entirely, and a relay that sticks can refuse to close at the set time. The touch panel is the other common complaint; moisture under the glass or a loose ribbon cable makes zones unresponsive. Each cavity is then checked on its own, with elements and sensor measured against known values.
Locks and hinges are tested on both doors. Parts for a retired model are confirmed before we quote. You see the price in writing first, and our repair carries a 30-day warranty.
The board may have lost its clock after a power interruption, or a relay may not have closed at the programmed time. We check the clock memory, the relay and the supply voltage.
Food should not sit at room temperature for many hours before cooking begins. Delayed start is best used for items that stay safe at room temperature for that long, so plan accordingly.
We inspect the glass for moisture, reseat the ribbon cable and test the panel's response zone by zone. If the touch layer is worn, the panel is replaced, and we quote it first.
