Viking VEDO127T Touch Oven Repair
The VEDO127T is a retired 27-inch double electric select oven with touch controls. It is the touch version of the VEDO127, and one panel runs both cavities.
When only one cavity responds, we do not assume the panel is bad. The other cavity’s relay, sensor or wiring may have failed, so we test them before the board. A display that blanks mid-bake can lose power at a loose connector, and a heat-stressed board can do the same. A panel that is slow or dead may have moisture beneath the glass or a worn touch layer.
A noisy lock motor is checked for debris and worn gears. Part availability for a retired oven is confirmed first. The price is written before work, and a 30-day warranty applies to the repair.
Its relay, sensor or wiring may have failed while the panel is fine. We test those before suspecting the board. That keeps you from paying for a board you do not need.
A loose connector or a failing power supply on the board. We test the voltage at the board during a bake to catch it. Watching it during a real cycle exposes brief dropouts.
Gears may be worn or debris may be jammed in the mechanism. We clean it and replace the motor if the gears are stripped. A new motor restores quiet, positive latching.
