Viking VDOF730 French-Door Service
The VDOF730 carries the French-door idea across a 30-inch double wall oven, so each cavity has two independently opening panels, four in all. Both cavities have TruConvec convection and a self-clean function.
Four panels means four meeting lines and four hinge sets to keep square. We check how each pair closes, because a single sagging hinge opens a gap that lets heat escape and upsets the oven’s temperature. Beyond the doors, each cavity is treated like any other double oven: the sensor, elements, lock hardware and convection fan for that cavity are tested separately.
When one cavity misbehaves and the other does not, we stay with the parts of that cavity. The shared board gets attention only when both cavities show the same trouble. We write the price down before work begins and warrant the repair for 30 days.
A hinge may have dropped or a gasket may be worn, leaving a gap where the panels meet. We realign the panels and replace any damaged gasket.
Not usually. Each cavity has its own sensor, elements and lock. We repair the one that failed and test the other to confirm it is healthy.
About as long as a normal door inspection plus a few minutes per extra panel. We look at each hinge, gasket and latch. We include the gaskets on all four edges in the same visit.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
