Viking VCFB536 Quiet Cool Freezer
The VCFB536 is a retired 36-inch Quiet Cool all-freezer. Viking described the series as a dedicated freezer with the space and ultra-performance features of the standard all-freezer model, at a standard 24-inch depth.
A wide door at that depth is long and fairly shallow, so alignment matters. When frost forms along the edge or the door no longer closes with a soft push, we look at the hinges and the gasket before anything else. Then we listen to the evaporator fan, test the defrost parts and read the temperature sensor. The condenser area gets cleaned last, because dust there makes a freezer run long and warm.
