Viking VCFB304 30-Inch Professional Freezer
The VCFB304 is a retired Professional series 30-inch all-freezer. Beyond the width and the series, little is published, so we identify the unit by its tag and then test what is actually in the cabinet.
A dedicated freezer column asks the same few parts to work all day. The gasket has to keep humid air out, the defrost heater has to clear the evaporator on schedule, the fan has to move air over the coil, and the condenser has to shed heat. When one of them slips, frost shows up, ice cream softens or the compressor never seems to rest. We check the seal and alignment first, then the evaporator, fan and defrost parts, and then clean the condenser side.
The price is written before work, and a 30-day workmanship warranty follows.
We read the tag, measure temperatures over a short run, and test the seal, fan, sensor and defrost parts individually. If a part is hard to obtain, we say so before any money is spent.
Soft ice cream often means the freezer is warming slightly between cycles, which points to a weak seal, a slow fan or heavy frost. We test those before suspecting the compressor.
Please call us first. Melting the frost without finding the cause means it returns, and unplugging risks food. We find why it formed, then plan the defrost around your food.
