Viking VCCU106 30-Inch Combination Cooktop
The VCCU106 is a retired Professional series cooktop, 30 inches wide, combining induction and radiant cooking. That mix means two different technologies under one glass top.
Each side has its own typical issues. Radiant elements fail by going dark or slow. Induction zones fail by cutting out under load or refusing to detect a pan. Before any repair we identify which type of zone is affected, then test the supply, the element or coil, and the control. We also check the cooling space under the unit, since the induction side needs air. The price comes first, in writing.
Please tell us which zone acts up and whether the problem comes and goes, because that decides which side we open first. Retired models take a little more care, and we explain parts and timing in plain terms before any work.
Some models combine them under a single glass top. Radiant zones work with any pan, while induction zones need magnetic cookware. We test each type separately.
Both can. Radiant elements age slowly and fail by going dark or slow. Induction electronics are sensitive to heat and moisture. We diagnose by zone rather than guessing, then quote only the part that failed.
Some can be found. We check your cooktop's tag, confirm availability, and tell you the cost and timing before ordering. If a part cannot be found, we say that plainly so you can plan.
