Viking RVMH330 Microwave Hood Service
The RVMH330 is a 30-inch microwave hood in the 3 Series with a 1.5 cu ft cavity and instant sensor settings. It replaces the range hood above a cooktop, so it handles both reheating and cooking exhaust, and that combination decides what usually wears out.
Cooking vapor passes through the grease filters into the fan and light sockets. We start there: clearing the filters, spinning the fan wheel by hand, and testing the speed switch. If the fan is fine, we turn to the microwave side, testing the door switches, the sensor path and the magnetron circuit.
Our price is written before any repair begins. Because this is a current model, we usually have parts quickly, and the work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
The installation decides that, and we do not change the ducting. We can check that the damper opens and the airflow is not restricted, which is a common reason for weak exhaust.
The sensor reads steam. A clogged vent path or a failing sensor reports done too soon. We clean the vent area, inspect the sensor connection and test the board's reading.
Monthly is a good habit if you cook often. Greasy filters strain the fan motor and let grease reach the lamp sockets, which shortens the life of both.
