Viking MVFI7240W 24-Inch Virtuoso Freezer
The MVFI7240W is a retired 24-inch Virtuoso fully integrated all-freezer listed with a 6 Series panel. The listing gives only the width and panel details, so we confirm the rest from the tag.
This type of freezer is meant to look like part of the cabinets, which means the door must hang precisely. Panel weight and age can pull it out of true, leaving a gap that lets in humid air. We check the hinges and the seal, then the evaporator fan, the sensor and the defrost parts. A condenser cleaning and a look at the ventilation around the cabinet complete the visit.
You see the price in writing before work starts, and repairs are covered by a 30-day warranty.
Please keep the model tag visible.
The hinges may have sagged under the panel weight. We adjust or replace them so the door sits true and the gasket seals evenly across the top as well.
That pattern suggests a defrost problem rather than a seal leak. We test the defrost heater and the sensor that controls it, then clear the frost.
Yes. We measure its resistance at a known temperature and compare it with the expected value. We replace it only if the reading is off.
