The FPNI515 is a 15-inch panel-ready nugget ice machine from the Professional series, undercounter with a gravity drain and a custom cabinetry panel. It produces ice in a continuous cycle.
A nugget machine behind a panel faces two challenges: limited airflow around the condenser and a mechanical auger that wears. We start by checking the condenser area and the vent, then the water fill and the scale in the path. The auger motor is tested for speed and noise, and the bin-full sensor is checked, because a false full reading stops ice while the bin is not full. The panel alignment gets a look too, since a door that closes poorly lets warm air in.
