On Viking clear-ice machines FIUI5152D, FIUI5152DADA and VBFIC1152D, the display alternates between CL and ICE after 3000 cycles. It means the unit needs cleaning. Ice production continues while the message shows, and it resets after a cleaning cycle is run. Nothing is broken. It is an upkeep reminder. Cleaning keeps the ice clear and the water path free of scale.

Do I have to stop using the machine?
