Viking DFFB364 36-Inch Designer Freezer
The DFFB364 is the 36-inch sibling to the DFFB304 in the older Designer Series all-freezer line. It uses the Quiet Cool cooling system, has adjustable shelving, and needs custom cabinetry panels.
The wide door makes the seal and hinges the first suspects. As the gasket ages it stops pressing evenly, frost forms along the edge, and the freezer runs more than it should. We check the gasket and hinge alignment, then the freezer sensor and the defrost parts. The condenser area gets a look for dust too, since a freezer that cannot shed heat will run long and warm.
This is a retired design, so we confirm parts by tag before quoting. You see the price in writing first.
Tell us when the frost first appeared.
Humid air entering past a worn gasket is the usual cause. The door may also have shifted under its panel. We check both and restore an even seal around the full edge.
A leaking seal, a dirty condenser area or frost on the evaporator can keep it running. We examine all three to find which is causing the extra work.
Usually not for sensor, fan or seal work. If a defrost repair needs the cabinet warmed, we tell you in advance so you can protect your food.
