Viking DDOE305T Touch Double Oven
The DDOE305T is the touch-control version of the retired 30-inch Designer double electric oven. Its controls are driven by a panel that reads touches and a board that runs both cavities.
When a touch panel stops responding, we start simple: power is cut and restored to reset the board, and the panel connection is inspected for looseness or moisture. Kitchens that wipe the panel with wet cloths or sprays often find liquid has crept under the glass. A dim or blank display points to the panel’s cable, the power supply to the board or the board itself.
If a cavity will not preheat while the panel works, the problem is further down the line: element, sensor or relay. We test each. A retired oven needs part availability confirmed before a quote; the price is written first, and the repair is warranted for 30 days.
Moisture under the glass, a loose cable or a failing board can all stop it responding. We reset the control, inspect the cable and test the board before replacing the panel.
Spray liquids can seep under the glass. Use a lightly dampened cloth, never a spray directly on the panel, and let it dry before using the oven.
