On the Viking Combi Steam/Convect ovens VSOC530 and MVSOC530 (2016 to 2019), such as the VSOC530SS and MVSOC530SS, an ATTENTION message appears when there is excess water in the steam engine or a steam function was interrupted. The oven has to drain to reset itself, which takes about one minute into an empty reservoir. The message is a status prompt about water handling, and normal use returns once the draining finishes.
1. Leave the oven on and let it drain for at least a minute. 2. Check that the water reservoir is empty and fully seated. 3. Do not open the door or remove the reservoir during draining. 4. Wait for ATTENTION to clear, then start a new cycle. 5. If it returns on every cycle, call us.
Not on its own. It says water is left in the engine and the oven needs to drain. Give it a minute and the message should clear by itself.
The oven drains into the reservoir. If it is full or not seated, the water has nowhere to go and the reset cannot finish. Empty it and slide it back in firmly.
Then the drain path or pump may be restricted, and a technician should look. We give a written price first, and our repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
