Viking DMOS200 Microwave Oven
The DMOS200 is a retired Designer series conventional microwave oven. Viking described an array of powerful settings, extra-large capacity, warm/hold and sensor cooking.
The oven is used daily, so the usual wear points show up: the door latch and seal, the keypad and the turntable. Warm/hold and sensor cooking add dependence on the control board and the sensor. When the oven runs but does not heat, we test the magnetron, diode and capacitor safely, with the power off and the capacitor discharged. A keypad that is slow or unresponsive is cleaned and tested before any board is replaced.
We confirm parts by tag and quote in writing before work. Repairs carry a 30-day warranty.
Please keep the tag visible when you call.
It relies on the control and a low-power heating circuit. We test the control board and the heating parts one at a time to find which is not responding.
Sensor programs should adjust time to the steam from the food. If they always run too long or too short, the sensor or control may need testing.
A big plate with heavy dishes strains the motor and coupler. We check the turntable motor, coupler and roller ring when it turns slowly or stops.
