Viking VMOD5240 Drawer Microwave Service
The VMOD5240 is a current 5 Series 24-inch undercounter drawer microwave. Its drawer opens by touch or by handle, and it has sensor cooking programs and a child safety lock.
The drawer is both the convenience and the service point. A motor and drive move it, tracks carry it, and an interlock confirms it is closed before the oven runs. When owners report a drawer that sticks, opens slowly or will not close, we clean the tracks and test the motor and interlock in that order. If the oven runs but does not heat, we test the magnetron, diode and capacitor safely. The keypad is checked for grease or moisture.
As a current model, parts are normally easy to find. The price is written before work, and repairs include a 30-day warranty.
Debris in the tracks or a weakening motor. We clean the tracks and test the motor under load, replacing it only if its performance has dropped.
Gently, if it has stopped open. Do not force it, because the drive may be damaged. Call us and we will inspect the tracks and the motor.
The interlock that senses the closed drawer may not be registering. We test it and adjust or replace it so the oven starts only when it should.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
