Viking MVSOC6301 RVL Steam Repair
The MVSOC6301 is a current RVL series steam convection oven in black glass. It has capacitive touch control, a temperature probe, a steam clean mode, a recipe function and a capacity of 1.4 cubic feet. The glass face and touch control look clean, but they are sensitive to steam and grease at the edges.
We service an MVSOC6301 by running a short steam cycle, checking the probe against a thermometer and testing the steam clean mode from start to finish. A cycle that stops early often traces to a sensor or the water path. The touch control is cleaned and tested, and the door is checked for seal and latch. You receive a written price before parts are ordered, and our work carries a 30-day warranty.
It uses steam to loosen residue in the cavity. If the cycle ends early, a water level sensor or the steam supply may be the cause, and we test those first.
We compare it in water at a known temperature. If it is off, we check the probe, its jack and the connection, and replace the probe if necessary.
Moisture at the edge of the glass can confuse it. We dry and clean it, then check the door seal that keeps steam away from the panel.
