Viking RVIR3304B Induction Range
The RVIR3304B is a current 3 Series 30-inch induction range with a glass ceramic surface, MagneQuick induction elements and a large oven with Vari-Speed Dual Flow convection. It is electric only, so it needs no gas line and keeps the surface cooler around the pan.
Induction problems often begin with cookware: the pan must be magnetic and flat. If a known good pan still does not heat, we check the zone, its coil and the cooling path for the electronics, which can reduce power when they run hot. The touch controls are checked after any spill. In the oven, we run the convection fan at each speed and compare real temperature with the setting. You get the price in writing before we start, and 30 days of workmanship warranty after we finish.
Hold a magnet to the base. If it sticks firmly, the pan will heat on induction. Warped or very small pans may not be detected. Try a skillet if you are unsure.
The electronics protect themselves from heat or an unsuitable pan. We check airflow, the pan and the zone before replacing any part. Replacing a part comes only after those tests.
It warms from the pan, so treat it as hot. The residual-heat light tells you when it has cooled. Wipe spills right away, and wait for the indicator before touching the glass, because the pan warms the surface even though the element itself stays cool.
