Fill Error is flash pattern 2-2 on Viking Professional VDB450 and FDB451 built-in dishwashers, shown as two flashes of the Pots/Pans light and two of the Normal Wash light. It is a fill timeout: the tub did not take on enough water in the allowed time. The cycle stops with the lights flashing, and the dishes inside will not be washed.
1. Open the shut-off valve under the sink all the way and run the faucet to confirm good flow. 2. Look at the supply line for sharp bends. 3. Hold START for four seconds to reset, then run a cycle. 4. If 2-2 shows again, close the valve and call us.
The control waits a set time for the tub to fill. If the level is not reached in that time, it stops and shows 2-2, usually because water did not arrive fast enough.
Debris can slow the flow at the inlet. That is one of the things we look at if your shut-off valve and hose are fine and the faucet has strong water.
No. Those two patterns refer to the high level and low level sensors. Pattern 2-2 is about how long the fill took, so it is a different check.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
