On Viking undercounter beverage centers with an ice maker, such as the VURI1401D and DFRI1401D, four blinks on the LED behind the grille mean the control potentiometer is out of range. The potentiometer is the temperature dial's input to the control. When it reads out of range, the control cannot tell the setting you chose. You may notice the unit cooling to a temperature that does not match the dial.
1. Turn the temperature dial through its range and back to the middle. 2. Unplug the unit for a minute and plug it in. 3. Make sure the dial is not stuck. 4. Keep the door closed. 5. If four blinks persist, call us.
It is the part that turns the dial position into a signal for the control. If it reads out of range, the control cannot read your setting.
Possibly. Turning the dial through its range sometimes clears a poor contact. If not, it needs a technician. It is not a part we expect you to open or adjust, so the dial is the only thing you touch.
Yes, if the test shows it is bad. We quote the price first and cover the repair for 30 days. We explain the finding before we start work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
